About Us

Who We Are:

We are a group of homeschool families who came together to build a community for ourselves and our children to grow and learn. We strive for a safe and supportive environment for all. Our families live in and around the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and beyond. Our classes support children from 3 to 17 years.

When & Where We Meet

We meet in and around the Raleigh area. We try to find as central a location as possible to easily accommodate the majority of our members.

We meet for classes on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. September through April.

During the summer months, Lake Days are regularly scheduled where we meet at Falls Lake.

Our Educational Philosophy

While we recognize that every family holds their individual values and beliefs in educational philosophy, as a group we follow the Thomas Jefferson Educational Philosophy. We ask, but do not require, our Scholar students (12+) to participate in preparing for class each week. We try to meet students where they are and mentor them for growth. We lead by example. We encourage students to become the next generation of leaders and mentors.

Classes Offered:

Our co-op focuses on fostering a love of learning. We do this by using different environments of learning in each class to engage each student and meet them where they are in their education.

Our classes vary from year to year as our needs change, but our focus is primarily history, government/civics, and leadership.

Drama & Theater

We have a drama & theater program for our students with end-of-semester productions. These are simple productions that allow students to learn in a safe and encouraging environment.

Parental Involvement

A huge part of what makes this co-op successful is minimizing the work any one person has to do. We ask that all participating families contribute by teaching and active in the classes. This is not a drop-off program.
